"Un, deux, trois" A very kind french man took this photo for us before we went to Half Moon Cay for the day.
Molly near the courtyard fountain.
A Bahamian church steeple.
Looking up into the tiny church as we made our way to the beach. I think you can see the ship on the other side.
A boat planter?
A kids' play area near one of the meandering pathways to the beach.
Didn't go inside, but I think it's got a bar, and restrooms.
On our way to the beach with cold drinks in hand.
Who's a happy kid?
The other side of that pirate ship building.
Dipping her toes in the water.
Playing in the sand.
Making sand castles with her favorite castle making bucket we got when we went to the beach at Treasure Island, Florida last year.
Look at that pretty water with our ship on the horizon.
I took a walk to get away from the crowds and to work off all those meals from the past few days.
So peaceful and serene.
A chair I found along the way where I took a short rest.
Further up the beach.
I love the colors of sand and surf.
Earth's Sea of Tranquility.
Looking back up the beach.
Dan playing with Molly...she loved the water.
Mermaid on the bow...
Off to find the play area and food.
Pretty flower....a hibiscus?
At the kids' play area, looking inside the boat.
What a great spot for kids to play.
Walking up the ramp.
Steering the boat. The view up there was really nice.
Looking back down.
Sliding into Daddy's arms.
It wasn't terribly hot, but it was warm enough that these mist stations were a refreshing stopping place as we walked around.
Looking back down to the beach and the ship.
The back of the little church.
It was very quiet and calm in there.
Very pretty place.
Back from lunch and heading to the little water slides.
Molly was so excited to try the water slides.
Up top with Daddy.
She squealed the whole way down every time.
I think she rode the slides at least 50 times.
She was so happy!
"Squeeeeeeeeeeeal..........I LIKED IT!!!!!!"
My view from the lounge chair for a few minutes while they were at the slide.
On the tender boat, back to the ship.
On our way back.
Home again.

*As I look at our beautiful photos of our wonderful day at the beach, part of my heart sinks a little bit. Later that afternoon, just 2 short weeks ago, when we got back to the ship, we learned of the horrible news about the school shootings in Newtown, CT that had happened that very morning. There is both peaceful beauty and horrific evil in this world at the same time. It makes me want to count my many blessings and cherish those around me that I love so dearly. My heart breaks for those parents who lost their sweet children that day.
It could have been any of us.
